Project Description
A Redevelopment Vision Plan for Lagos Island West, the western half of Lagos Island, center of the fast growing Lagos metropolis. Lagos Island, the former capital of Nigeria, remains the financial capital of Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country. It is also home to the largest financial district in the country, many historic places of cultural significance as well as large vibrant retail and wholesale market hubs that attract millions of visitors each day. However, overcrowding coupled with a history of poor regulation and maintenance had resulted in the environmental degradation of area. AxisDI developed a strategic vision plan to improve the physical conditions and functionality of the city, revitalize the vibrancy of its commercial sectors and to re-establish it as an attractive destination city.
